Week of 12/29/08
I hope all of yall had a Merry Christmas and look forward to a Happy New Year. Fishing is hit or miss right now on Fork. Sunday I had a half day trip in the morning and we had 12 nice ones up to several being 5 lbs. All our fish were caught on Rat-L-Traps on the main lake grass. I have also been catching some nice ones on jigs on the outside of the grass. I'm not getting many bites but the ones I am getting are quality. Some of the bass I am catching on jigs are on the north end along the shallow grass in 3-5 feet. Fish in these areas will also hit a trap and spinnerbait as well.
Crappie fishing has been going well to. Most days I have not had a problem getting a limit for two people. Jigs in 25-30 feet of water have been working best for me. If you would like to book a winter bass or crappie trip let me know. Spring is also around the corner so if you would like to get a spring trip let me know.
Good Luck
