Cody Floyd gave the Alba-Golden faithful some hope with 216 yards rushing on eleven carries Friday night in Alba. The Panthers remained winless as a balanced Buffalo offense and Panther miscues allowed Lone Oak to leave town with a 58-13 win. Alba-Golden put themselves in a hole early on when Lone blocked two punts and jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.

After three consecutive three and outs by the Panthers Lone Oak increased their lead to 34-0 by halftime. The spark that Alba-Golden needed came on the first drive of the second half in the form of Senior Running back Cody Floyd. Floyd ripped off a 70 yard run down to the Lone Oak 18 yard line.

Lone Oak defense stiffened and kept the Panthers out of the end zone. The Cody Floyd show continued in the fourth quarter. Floyd scored two late touchdowns of 60 and 70 yards to get the Panthers on the board. The Panther path gets no easier next week as the y welcome the Winnsboro Red Raiders to Panther Stadium
