Early voting for the Lindale ISD school bond runs through October 30.

The main polling place for early voting will be the Lindale Masonic Lodge located at 200 Margaret Street.  Those wishing to cast an early vote can do so Monday-Friday at the Lindale Masonic Lodge from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The Lodge will have extended business hours on the last two days of early voting, October 29 and 30.  On those two days the Lodge will be open for voting from 7 a.m. to  7 p.m.

The Lindale ISD school bond election will be held on November 3.  The $42 million bond will include two propositions.  The first proposition includes the construction of a new junior high school, additional classrooms at the high school and a new field house at Eagle Stadium.  The price of Proposition I is $32 million.

Proposition II includes a 1,200 seat auditorium, a new baseball and softball complex, improvements to Eagle Stadium and improvements to the tennis dressing facilities.  The price of Proposition II is $10 million.

The Lindale Independent School District's Board of Trustees cited growth as the main reason for calling the bond election.  The rate of growth has been 3.35% in the last ten years, and 4.26% in the last seven years.  Currently 3,615 students are enrolled in the Lindale ISD, the highest enrollment in the school district's history.

Two campuses, Early Childhood Center and Velma Penny Elementary School exceed capacity/core this school year.  In two years, Lindale school officias expect four campuses (Early Childhood Center, Velma Penny Elementary, Lindale Primary School and Lindale High School) will exceed capacity/core.  In three years, all six LISD campuses may exceed capacity/core without the addition of classrooms.

A new junior high school would include; at least 28 regular classrooms, four science labs, a computer lab, art, speech, theater arts, journalism and vocational classrooms, a cafetorium, gymnasium, multiple practice and competition floors, multiple band practice rooms, outdoor practice fields, tennis courts and a six lane track.

If the bond election passes, Lindale Primary School and Velma Penny Elementary School would both be changed to house grades 1 through  3.  E.J. Moss Intermediate and the current Lindale Junior High School would become one campus and house grades 4 through 6.  The new junior high school would house grades 7 through 8.  A location for the new junior high school has not yet been determined.
