When New Orleans Saints kicker Garrett Hartley kicked the game-winning field goal to send his team to the Super Bowl, the Lindale ISD shared in his family’s joy. Garrett’s mother, Cookie Hartley, is a PPCD (Preschool Programs for Children with Disabilities) teacher at Lindale’s Early Childhood Center. In honor of the Saints NFC Championship victory, staff at the Early Childhood Center will wear black and gold and decorate their doors tomorrow, January 26. During the morning announcements, “When the Saints Go Marching In” will be played over the speakers. Mrs. Hartley was in the stands of the Superdome Sunday night, watching her son lead his team to victory. She will return to work tomorrow, January 26.
