Two men sit in the Van Zandt County jail today after being arrested on drug charges late last week.
According to the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Department, on Wednesday March 14th, 2012 around 9:30 p.m., the Van Zandt County Deputies served a felony warrant at an address on VZCR 3604. Upon entering the residence, Debra White, was taken into custody. Officers noticed a strong smell of Marijuana coming from the master bedroom. The Officers then took into custody Donnie Lynn Addison. Officers observed a baggie of white crystal type substance inside a can. White and Randall Sharp, who was also taken into custody, gave deputies verbal and written consent to search the residence. Authorities say numerous baggies of a white substance, as well as, marijuana, scales, and cash were seized.
All three suspects were booked into the Van Zandt County Justice Center.
Addison was charged with Proh. Sub. Corr. Facility – Alcohol/Drug/Phone/Tobacco, a 3rd degree felony, and Mfg/Del >4G<200 a 1st degree felony.
Sharp was charged with Mfg/Del >4G<200, 1st degree felony, and with Theft/Prop. $50/$500 a class B misdemeanor.
White was charged Mfg/Del >4G<200, a 1st degree felony and with Possession of a Controlled Substance < 1 G - PG1 a State Jail Felony.
Addison and Sharp remain in the Van Zandt County Jail at this time.
