A Tyler man is in jail this afternoon after allegedly sexually assaulting multiple children at a mobile home park. Tyler Police say the mother of a nine year-old female victim told authorities that her daughter several of her friends around the same age had been sexually assaulted at Shiloh Pines mobile home park, located at 2525 Shiloh Road. The victim stated that the assaults had occurred in a wooded area, where the suspect known as "Tom" had made a club house. Investigators were able to obtain evidence to secure an arrest warrant for the suspect. 21-year-old Thomas Harold George Brookbank was charged with Continuous Sexual Abuse of Young Children, a first degree felony and placed in the Smith County Jail. Brokbank’s bond was set at $750,000.00. Police say the case is still under investigation with five children having been identified as victims thus far. |
