|Smith County Deputy Shot While Executing Warrant|

UPDATE: Tyler Police Investigators have obtained additional arrest warrants on Kara Hanley and Jeffery Andrysiak. Both subjects have been charged with Manufacture or Delivery of Controlled Substance a first degree felony.
The arrest warrant was signed by Judge Russell. Bond was set at $500,000 dollars each. Hanley and Andrysiak are in custody at the Smith County Jail. Summerville remains hospitalized in East Texas Medical Center.
This case remains under investigation.
A Smith County Deputy was shot overnight while serving a warrant.
According to police, the US Marshals and Smith County Sheriffs department were serving a warrant at the Arbors Apartment Complex, 323 Chimney Rock in Tyler when the deputy was shot in the chest. Deputy Josh Caulkins was wearing a bulletproof vest and was not seriously injured. He was taken to East Texas Medical Center to be treated.
Law enforcement returned fire once fired upon and took all three occupants of the apartment into custody without injury.At this time 26-year-old Christopher Summerville is being held on the outstanding warrant. 31-year-old Jeffery Andrysiak is being held on possession of a controlled substance and 30-year-old Kara Adams-Hanley was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
