Van Zandt County Constable Mickey Henson was hospitalized late yesterday evening after being involved in a two-vehicle accident in Grand Saline in his patrol car.
"I was heading east on HWY 80 near the Shell station around 5:30 p.m. when a white Ford Fusion slammed into my drivers side door," said Henson. "The door was jammed and they head to remove the door to get me out."
Henson was momentarily knocked unconscious and transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. Henson was released this morning. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
