State Representative Dan Flynn is receiving state and national attention this week for a bill he filed that would allow schools to display the Ten Commandments.
Representative Flynn said he believes doing so could help a rising discipline problem. Flynn stresses that the bill would simply disallow a school district from prohibiting posting the commandments.
“If the Ten Commandments can be displayed in our nations Capital, why should teachers not be able to have the choice to display them in their classrooms?” asked Representative Flynn.
The states 83rd Legislative Session begins in January.
Flynn is that state rep. for Van Zandt, Hunt and Hopkins Counties.
