Monday has been Declared Cal Farley day in Mineola by Mayor Bo Whitus.
This year marks the 73rd anniversary of Cal Farley’s boys ranch. The ranch, established by the former businessman and baseball player, has helped thousands of troubled boys.
“Cal Farley’s Ranch provides education and support to boys who come from backgrounds where they did not receive the attention and care they needed,” said event organizer Wayne Cosby.
The program has helped many East Texas boys and will be in Mineola tonight at the Select theatre speaking with the public about the camp.
“We will have refreshments, Christmas Music and just provide information about the ranch to anyone interested,” said Cosby.
The event will begin at 6:30 Monday at the Select theatre.
KMOO will be broadcasting LIVE from the theatre from 6:30-8 p.m.
