Wednesday marks National Collegiate Signing Day across the country and several high school seniors in KMOO Country put the pen to paper today, committing to play major college sports.
In Van, Hunter Hopkins signed with the University of Arkansas to run track. Sid Moore signed with the University of North Texas, and Bryce Krumvita signed on with Texas A7M Commerce, both to play football. Micky Morris, Wide Receiver from Wills Point signed today with Southeastern Oklahoma to play football.
Mineola’s running back, linebacker Dac Shaw signed to play football for TCU in the fall.
“I hope that he can have the same success for TCU as he did for Mineola, or more,” said Mineola Football Coach Joe Drennon. “The signing is good for the Mineola program because it shows ytounger players that you don’t have to go to a 5A high school to play for a major college.”
