|Deadline approaching for WCEC Washington trip|

Wood County Electric Cooperative is offering a once-in-a-life-time trip for a local teen.
The contest winner will win an all-expense-paid trip toWashington, D. C., in June. The cooperative is calling got all high schools students to apply for the 48th Annual Government-in-Action Youth Tour. Candidates must submit a 500 word essay, which will be judged by an independent panel. This year’s topic is devoted to “life before rural electricity.” The winner will travel with students from across Texas to Washington, DC.
The deadline for submission is February 28th.
