A Mineola man was arrested this morning for DWI after a two-vehicle crash at the Smith/Wood County line.
DPS Troopers say a red Nissan Altima, driven by 29-year-old Sergio Nevarez was kicking up dust and grass in the median on HWY 69 when it pulled on to the pavement and struck a gray Nissan SUV headed southbound around 11 a.m.
“We saw him in the median and then all of the sudden he plowed right into us.” Said Billy Morgan, the driver of the SUV.
Morgan and his three passengers, including two children, were uninjured.
Nevarez was arrested at the scene for DWI. Troopers believe Navarez was on some type of narcotic.
