Sulphur Springs ISD, Yanits ISD, Rains ISD, Sulphur Bluff ISD, Winnsboro ISD, and Como-Pickton ISD have all been locked down while authorities search for two Hopkins County jail escapees.

According to the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department, 45-year-old Brian Allen Tucker and 40-year-old John Marlin King escaped from the jail early Tuesday morning. Tucker was awaiting trial for capital murder, King had been indicted for evading arrest.

Tucker is described as 5'7", 171 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes with a tattoo around his neck, like barbed wire. King is 5'8", 165 pounds with black hair and hazel eyes.

The school district lockdowns are precatutionary and each district says their students are safe and protected.
