An arrest has been made in the fatal crash that killed a Pittsburg teenager.
According to DPS, troopers obtained an arrest warrant Wednesday night for 19 year-old Omar Robles of Pittsburg, charging Robles with Criminal Negligent Homicide. Camp County deputies served the warrant on Robles.
The arrest comes after the investigation into a one vehicle traffic crash that caused the death of 17 year-old Loida Trinidad also of Pittsburg. The crash injured four additional teens. Four other occupants were not injured. The crash occurred Monday, April 15 just before 10 a.m. on FM 152, west of CR 2127.
Investigating troopers believe Robles was traveling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the 2007 Toyota Sienna he was driving, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and strike a bridge guardrail, ejecting a passenger.
Pending the completion of the investigation, the case will be turned over to the Camp County District Attorney’s office.
