A Lindale ISD administrator has received a statewide honor.
The Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association has named Susan Finch of E.J. Moss Intermediate School the District 7 Assistant Principal of the Year.
Finch has been with the Lindale Independent School District for ten years. She began as an English and choir teacher at Lindale High School. Finch spent four years as assistant principal of Velma Penny Elementary School. When Lindale ISD realigned its elementary campus grade levels in 2011, Finch moved to E.J. Moss to assist with the fourth grade transition to the campus.
“I am blessed to work with the best staff in east Texas who comes to work every day with a positive attitude and expect the best out of their students,” Finch said. “This is an unexpected honor. East Texas has a large amount of outstanding professionals who show extreme dedication to their students and staff. I am honored to be chosen to represent them.”
Finch will be recognized at the TEPSA Awards Banquet on June 12 at the Renaissance Hotel in Austin.
The Assistant Principal of the Year Award recognizes outstanding school administrators for their education leadership and dedication to children.
