|Van, Mineola to meet in Regional Final|

Two high school softball teams in KMOO Country will represent their region Saturday in Tyler with one advancing to the State Tournament in Austin.
The KMOO Sports Crew has their bags packed for the Capital, but which color t-shirt they will where in Austin has yet to be determined; Mineola orange or Vandal Red?
The Van Lady Vandals secured a spot in Saturday’s regional final by defeating Sanger two games to none over the weekend in Sunnyvale.
Several miles to the north it was Mineola knocking off Frisco Lonestar in two games in Rockwall.
Mineola and Van both come out of District 15-3A. The Lady Vandals won the district with a 9-1 district record. Mineola finished second with an 8-2 record. Van’s lone loss in district came to Mineola 10-0 early in the district season. Van has not lost to anyone since being run ruled at home by Mineola. In their second district match-up Van edged the Lady Jackets 1-0 in Mineola.
In the post season both teams have dominated their opponents. Van saw a first round bye then Beat Texarkana Pleasant Grove, Gladewater, and most recently Sanger.
Mineola beat Spring Hill, Crandall, Henderson and Frisco Lone Star.
The regional final will be held at the UT Tyler Softball Complex to house a big crowd. Tune in to KMOO for complete play-by-play coverage of the series.
Game 1 will be played Friday night at 7 p.m. with Game 2 slated for 4 p.m. Saturday. If a game 3 id necessary it will be played 30 minutes after game 2.
