A former Harmony High School substitute teacher has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted sexual assault of a 16-year-old boy.
According to the Upshur County District Attorney's office, 36-year-old Judy Lynn Langford, of Big Sandy, was sentenced by Judge Lauren Parish of the 115th District Court for the November, 2011, offense of having "sexual contact" with the boy.
Under the plea bargain, Mrs. Langford agreed to forfeit her substitute teacher's license and to register as a sex offender until 10 years after she is paroled.
