Authorities are seeking the suspect in a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning near Grand Saline. According to Grand Saline Police Chief Larry Compton, the victim was allegedly shot in the chest and transported via helicopter to a local hospital.

According to DPS, 31-year-old William Lee Honea of Yantis is considered armed and dangerous and may be carrying a semi-automatic rifle.

Officials say Honea may be traveling with 25-year-old Cortney Summerlin of Camp Wood. The pair may be in one of three vehicles: a black Chevrolet Z71 pickup truck, a white 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck or a gold dually-style pickup truck.

Honea is wanted for possession of a controlled substance in Wood County following a September 2012 incident. Summerlin is wanted on three warrants in Wood County, including credit card abuse and two counts of forgery.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Honea or Summerlin contact local authorities.

Chief Compton said the Van Zandt County Sheriff's Department is leading the investigation.
