9:42 a.m. An officer responded to a business on NE Loop 564 in reference to a man reporting he accidentally left his
card in a gas pump and then someone used it after he left it there. During the investigation of the report
an officer responded and checked video, but did not evidence of someone using the card.

11:35 a.m. Anne Jeanette McCarmack, 35 of Mineola was arrested for Criminal Trespass and several Mineola class C
warrants after Walmart reported she was in the store at that time, after being trespassed in 2017.

2:35 p.m. A business on NW Loop 564 reported Theft of property when 4 customers did not pay the rental agreement on property and did not return the property.

7:36 p.m. A business on NE Loop 564 reported a disturbance when a man was walking up and down the aisles
yelling. An officer responded and advised the man he had to leave and he did leave the property.

8:33 p.m. A business on Greenville Avenue reported harassment from an ex-employee’s family member. An officer spoke with the complainant and the family member about the situation.

11:07 p.m. Benjamin Elezodo Barrera, 40 of Mineola was arrested for a Rains County warrant for Criminal Non-Support after a traffic stop was conducted on West Broad Street for a traffic violation.

1:06 p.m. A welfare concern was reported at a business on South Pacific Street when a citizen reported a woman
leaving her children in the vehicle while she went into the store. An officer responded but did not locate
the vehicle.

9:23 p.m. A citizen reported a party that possibly had underage kids attending on Brenda Street. An officer responded and did not find any problems and the kids had parental supervision.

9:48 p.m. Officers assisted EMS with a medical call on North Line Street.

9:39 a.m. A welfare concern was reported on Bromberg Street when a friend reported a man had left on foot from
his residence. An officer responded and started looking for the man. He was located at a hotel on South
Pacific. The officer took the man home and left him with his family since he appeared unstable and
wanted to go back home. A few minutes later the family called and reported the man had taken the car
and left. A missing person report was filed and entered into the system.

12:05 p.m. A woman reported she needed to speak with an officer in reference to a child custody issue. The woman was advised by the officer to get an attorney involved in reference to the civil matter.

3:31 p.m. A man on Nuss Street reported problems with another person and wanted to make the department aware of possible damage to his residence while he is gone.

5:06 p.m. A motor vehicle accident was reported on West Broad Street. Ricky Wayne Stacy of Mineola and a
passenger were traveling east bound in the 200 Blk. West Broad Street, on a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle.
Brynne Mongoven of Flower Mound, Texas was traveling west bound on West Broad Street in a 2000
Chevrolet Monte Carlo and turned South on Line Street in the path of the motorcycle. The two on the
motorcycle were transported to UT Health in Quitman by a private vehicle.

6:41 p.m. A suspicious person was reported at Meredith and Guy Street, sitting in a vehicle, reportedly watching the
children while they played. An officer responded to the area and spoke with the reporting party. The
officer found the vehicle but no one was in the vehicle.

6:55 p.m. A welfare concern was reported when a man was calling his roommate advising her he had taken some
medication, but would not tell the roommate where he was. An attempt to locate teletype was sent to
other agencies.

10:24 p.m. An officer assisted a woman and a child when she reported she was broken down at 69 South and Loop
564. A language line was utilized for communication because of a language barrier. The officer assisted
the lady and her child in getting a room for the night through Ministerial Alliance.

11:12 p.m. An officer made a traffic stop on West Broad for a violation of pulling a trailer with no lights. The officer
suspicioned the driver as being intoxicated and contacted a DPS Trooper to assist for the blood draw.
Clifford Eugene Bishop, 32, of Tyler was filed on for felony DWI with child passenger by DPS.

 

Sunday, July 1, 2018
12:47 a.m. Fireworks being popped on Wren Street by teenagers were reported. An officer responded to the area
but did not find anything.

12:53 a.m. Jeffery Dean Littrell, 27 of Mineola was arrested for Driving While License Invalid (enhanced). He was stopped on South Pacific Street for a defective license plate light.

6:56 a.m. An inquest was reported on Maxine Street when a family member reported finding his aunt unresponsive
when he checked on her at her residence. Justice of Peace Pct. 2 Wes Criddle pronounced the 82 year old
woman deceased from natural causes.

10:11 a.m. A witness at a business located on NE Loop 564 reported a welfare concern for a special needs teenager that was with his parents. The family had left when the officer arrived.

1:19 p.m. A father reported his teenage daughter and son got into an argument and his daughter got out of the car
and left while they were at a gas station on NE Loop 564. The daughter was located at another business
close and returned to her father.

4:17 p.m. A welfare concern was reported for an elderly woman walking on West Broad Street that appeared to be confused. The woman’s family was contacted and taken to the hospital by a family member.

7:37 p.m. Spring Denise Wilson, 40 of Mesquite was arrested for Driving While License Suspended (enhanced). She was stopped on North Pacific for a traffic violation.

9:51 p.m. A head on collision on West Broad Street was reported. Hijinio Zalasar Melgarejo, 71 of Mineola was
arrested by DPS for Intoxicated Assault with a Vehicle and an ICE hold after witnesses reported he was
traveling east bound in the west bound lane in the 500 Blk. West Broad Street and hit a 2004 Ford
Expedition traveling west bound in the west bound lane that was driven by Rosas Esperanza Hernandez
and two passengers, Jose Luis Hernandez and Elvia Rosa Perez of Grand Saline. One passenger in the Ford
Expedition was transported by ambulance to a Tyler hospital.

 

Monday, July 2, 2018

1:18 a.m. Fireworks were reported near Wren Street. The officer found the person shooting fireworks on Goodson Street and issued a verbal warning.

3:23 a.m. A woman on Molly Lane reported someone was possibly in her back yard. Someone had thrown a white
sign into her back yard and made the dogs start barking. An officer responded and found two subjects
that were walking in the area and spoke with them. He could not determine if they had thrown the sign in
the yard.

10:59 a.m. The missing person from the 30 th of June was located at a business in the 1200 Blk. North Pacific Street.

11:15 a.m. Loud music was reported on North Newsom Street. The caller then called back and reported the source of the loud music had left the area.

12:20 p.m. Loud music was reported again on Newsom Street. The officer responded and did not find the source of
the music. An officer patrolled the area and found the source of the loud music and talked to the person,
advising them to turn the music down with a verbal warning.

12:55 p.m. A woman reported a Publisher’s Clearing House scam.

6:22 p.m. An officer assisted a woman at Spring Lake with some text messages she was receiving from the Lake Jackson area. It was believed to be someone with the wrong number.

 

July 3, 2018

1:21 p.m. Dispatch received a 911 call and the call continued to be an open line. An officer responded to East
McDonald Street to investigate the call. It was found to be a child playing with the phone.

2:36 p.m. An officer assisted on a motor vehicle accident on West Broad at CR. 2840 until DPS arrived on the scene.

2:42 p.m. A reckless driver was reported to be coming into the city on North Pacific Street that was unable to
maintain a single lane of traffic. An officer located the vehicle on University Street and spoke with the
driver. The driver was fine.

10:02 p.m. Fireworks were reported at the Wren and Goodson Street area. An officer did not find the source of the fireworks.

10:27 p.m. A suspicious person was reported at a residence on the Old Tyler Hwy. An officer responded and found that the person had permission to be on the property.

 

Wednesday, July 4, 2018
2:19 a.m. A nursing home on Greenville Ave. reported a new resident missing from his room. The resident was found by staff shortly after at the nursing home.

9:26 a.m. A Capital One Debit Card was found at the Mineola Community Bank ATM.

12:44 p.m. A reckless driver was reported to be leaving Mineola and headed toward Lindale. Lindale P.D. was notified.

8:54 p.m. Fireworks were reported on Frances Street. An officer responded and found the source. The officer issued the two males a verbal warning.

9:24 p.m. Fireworks were reported on Ivey Street. A verbal warning was issued.

9:53 p.m. A passerby reported a disturbance at the car wash on North Pacific Street. When officers responded it was found to be a parent disciplining their child.

10:09 p.m. Fireworks were reported on Padgett Street. A verbal warning was issued.

10:34 p.m. A theft of a dog was reported on Goodson Street.

10:37 p.m. A possible intoxicated driver was reported on North Pacific Street. An officer determined the driver was not intoxicated.

10:54pm Fredrick June Morris, 61 of Lindale was arrested for No Driver’s License, No Liab. Insurance, Expired
Registration and Wrong, fictitious, altered or obscured insignia. Morris was stopped on North Pacific
Street for a defective tail lamp and defective License Plate light.

 

NOTE: The Theft call for service on the 4th of July involving the dog is solved. The dog returned home on July 5, so it is unknown if the dog was stolen.
