Thursday, October 4, 2018

12:33pm Officers assisted with a medical call involving a child on West McDonald Street.

1:13pm A child was accidentally locked in a vehicle at the Post Office. The door was unlocked and the child was fine.

3:14pm A terroristic threat was reported by a woman. An officer spoke with her and found that the offense took place in the county. She was referred to Wood County S.O.

9:14pm A reckless driver was reported southbound on Hwy. 69, coming into the city. The caller advised the vehicle was on the wrong side of the roadway. An officer got the vehicle stopped at the Loop and Hwy. 69. The driver was not intoxicated and said he was tired.

11:37pm An officer checked on a suspicious vehicle at South Johnson and Commerce Street. An officer made contact and identified the driver and he was just sitting in his car.

Friday, October 5, 2018

7:33am A reckless driver was reported by a truck driver that witnessed a vehicle weaving in and out of traffic about 7 miles out of the city on Hwy 69 South. An officer waiting for the vehicle but did not locate the vehicle.

10:21am A 911 hang up was received from a business on North Pacific. It was found to be an accident.

10:22am Murphy’s USA reported a gas drive off. The man left his credit card with his name on it, but it had insufficient funds. He was under investigation for other thefts at Murphy’s.

12:24pm Officers served felony warrants for California on Laura Street. Kelly Anne Price, 38 of Mineola and Marion Verner, 65 of Mineola were both arrested at their residence for two counts each for Organized Fraud.

5:28pm A reckless driver was reported on Newsom Street. The caller reported the vehicle ran two stop signs and was driving all over the roadway then turned into the Brookshire’s parking lot. The officer patrolled the area and found the vehicle unoccupied.

6:45pm An officer assisted a man that had a flat tire and needed some assistance on South Pacific at Loop 564.

8:26pm A disturbance was reported in the parking lot of a business on South Pacific. Two people were on a motorcycle and the other person was in a vehicle. The motorcycle left but an officer was able to find them on West Patten Street. All parties said it was a verbal argument and no one wanted to file any charges.

9:53pm A reckless driver was reported on South Pacific. An officer found the reported vehicle at North Johnson and Patten. It was determined everything was fine, the driver was coming in from work.

11:04pm Officers checked on a suspicious vehicle that was parked in the 200 blk. North Johnson Street. The driver was using the WIFI.

11:06pm Officers checked on another suspicious vehicle parked in the 300 blk. East Broad Street. Everything was fine, the driver was playing a game on his phone.

11:42pm A business on North Pacific Street reported teenagers in the parking lot drinking. Officers checked the area but did not find the vehicle that was described.

12:03am Officers checked a suspicious vehicle in the 100 blk. East Broad Street. The driver was playing a Pokemom game.

3:30pm A reckless driver was reported on East Broad Street that hit 2 vehicles. The caller followed the vehicle to a residence on Sycamore Street. The driver was determined to be an elderly woman.

6:04pm A disturbance was reported on Padgett Street. Officers responded to the call and found it to be verbal only, but the resident wished to trespass the person causing the issue.

7:45pm EMS reported a disturbance at the Youth Foundation Baseball Park when they received a medical call on a woman. The woman refused EMS and refused to leave the park. Officers responded to the call, but the woman was already gone from the scene.

8:03pm A woman reported a reckless driver about 10 minutes after the incident occurred. The reckless driver was reported to be driving in the wrong lane. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

10:56pm Officers assisted Wood County S.O. on attempting contact on a person with a felony warrant on Emily Street. No contact was made.

11:43pm A welfare concern was reported for a man that lives on East Broad Street. The man’s girlfriend reported they had an argument and he made comments of hurting himself. Officers responded to the residence and found that the man was fine and he denied making any comments.

3:26am A medical alert company reported that three teenagers were trying to enter an elderly woman’s home on Landers Street through a window.  The woman reported two white males and one white female was attempting to enter her home. Officers responded to the call and patrolled the area. The officers were unable to locate any subjects fitting the descriptions.

5:34am A woman reported someone was attempting to break into the same residence on Landers Street. Officers reported they had parked near the residence for a while and did not witness any activity. Officers reported they could not find signs of an attempted break in.

8:19am A man on the Old Tyler Highway reported a White Kawasaki 4 Wheeler stolen from his yard. Anyone with any information on this theft please contact crime stoppers or the Mineola Police Department.

10:37am Wood County S.O. reported a reckless driver that was an oversize load at North Pacific and Loop 564. An officer responded to the call, but did not locate the vehicle.

3:07pm Wood Memorial Nursing Home reported a resident kicked another resident in the shin. The woman was transported by EMS to the hospital. Officers spoke with the victim and the suspect. No charges can be filed. An incident report was documented.  

4:42pm Loud music was reported on Frances Street. An officer responded but did not hear any music.

7:13pm An intoxicated man was reported to be outside yelling at himself on East Broad Street. The man was told to go back into his residence and warned if he came back out he could be arrested.

Monday, October 8, 2018

10:27am An elderly man was reported to be missing from his residence from Park Place Street. He was located just down the road. He said he was getting some exercise.

11:01am A disturbance was reported on University Street between a father and an adult daughter. The daughter was reportedly hit in the mouth by her father. She did not wish to file charges. A family violence report was filed. Both requested trespass warnings to be issued. The father was trespassed from the daughter’s residence and the daughter was trespassed from the father’s residence.

11:51am A man and a juvenile were reported to be walking on the railroad tracks. An officer responded to the call, but he two were not on the tracks upon his arrival. They were waiting on the train.

1:32pm A welfare concern was reported for a woman on North Newsom Street.  The caller reported the woman did not have any food in the residence. An officer responded to the call and spoke with the woman and her son. Everything was fine.

3:08pm Sherry Denese McKenzie, 38, of Mineola was arrested for Evading Arrest or Detention in a Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz. and Resisting Arrest, after an officer attempted to stop her for a traffic violation at the 400 Blk. East Broad Street. McKenzie refused to stop and continued to her residence located on FM 1801.

4:14pm A reckless driver was reported on South Pacific that was traveling at a high rate of speed and tailgating other vehicles. An officer responded to the call but did not locate the vehicle.

10:22pm A disturbance was reported on Good Street. Officers responded and found it to be a verbal argument between two friends. The two worked out the disagreement and separated for the night.

7:38am A man reported his bicycle was stolen from his residence on East Broad Street. The man reported the following day that his bike had been returned.

11:19am Gerri Rachelle Butler, 44, of Mineola was arrested for a Rains County warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Butler was located hiding in a vacant residence on South Johnson Street.

3:21pm A welfare concern was reported for a man walking on East Broad Street, yelling at cars. An officer responded to the area and found the man. The man requested the officer give him a courtesy ride to the east city limits. The officer did give him a ride.

4:13pm A resident on Sycamore Street reported signs stolen from his yard.

4:18pm An officer assisted EMS on a medical call on Molly Lane.

9:31pm A welfare concern was reported for a man that was at the intersection of Pacific and Broad Street, slumped over his steering wheel.  Officers responded to the call and found the man to be ok. The man reported he had fallen asleep. The officers found no signs of intoxication.

11:19pm A burn violation was reported at Kilpatrick and Graham Street.

7:07am Michael Devon McPherson, 39 of Tyler, was arrested for Theft after Murphy’s USA at NE Loop 564 reported the same man from the past thefts came and left his credit card with the clerk and filled his vehicle with gas. An officer was able to get McPherson stopped on 37 North.  Several more charges are pending on McPherson for Theft from Murphy’s.

8:31am Terroristic Threat and stalking was reported by a man and woman when an ex- boyfriend of the woman stalked them at their residence on Wigley Street, and then followed them to North Johnson Street, where the suspect threatened to kill both of them. John Dee Strange, 38, of Mineola was arrested by Van P.D. on the morning of October 11, 2018. Strange was also arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Wood County for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  

12:42pm A resident on West Kilpatrick Street reported she came home and found her front door open.  Officers responded to the location and checked her residence. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residence. The resident thinks her children may have left the door open.

1:06pm Officers assisted EMS on a medical call on University Street.

4:59pm A disturbance was reported in the parking lot of a business on West Broad Street. An officer responded and determined this to be a verbal argument between a mother and a daughter.

10:57pm Perry Clint Nash, 42, of Mineola was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Nash was in possession of a pipe with residue, when he was stopped by an officer on NE Loop 564, for a traffic violation.
