10:49am A welfare concern was reported by a father in reference to an adult daughter on North Pacific Street continuing to have a man coming by the daughter’s residence that is representing himself as part of the Census Bureau. The officer advised the father to have his daughter contact the department for details.

5:15pm A woman called from a business on NE Loop 564 stating a man was in her vehicle and she did not want him leaving with her and going to her residence. An officer responded to the call and spoke with the man in the woman’s vehicle. The man called for a ride by a friend to his residence.

8:26pm A reckless driver was reported on West Broad Street by Wood County. The only description was a truck or an SUV. The officers were unable to locate the vehicle after patrolling the area.

9:19pm Edgar Villalobos, 25, of Arlington was arrested for Driving While License invalid, Operating unregistered vehicle and defective headlamps on both sides after he was stopped on South Pacific Street for the defective headlights.

5:03pm An officer was requested to speak with a family member after a child custody exchange on Turman Street. The officer reported the situation was a civil matter.

6:36pm A witness reported a hit and run in the Walmart parking lot. An officer was able to the vehicle stopped based on the witness’ quick response. No charges were filed, information was exchanged.

9:52pm A theft of a firearm was reported at a residence on North Line Street. The suspect was known by the victim and had been staying at the residence.

10:09pm A disturbance was reported on Pegues Street by a friend that received a Facebook message asking the friend to call the police because her boyfriend was throwing her property out in the rain. An officer responded and found the two to be engaged in a verbal argument with no physical violence. The officer explained the property was a civil matter between the two.

2:29am A reckless driver was reported that turned into the Walmart parking lot. The officer found the subjects in the vehicle but did not witness any signs of intoxication.

10:03am A man on Turman Street reported a repossession company was at his residence to get his vehicle, but he was not at home. The man reported a family member is sitting in the vehicle and he wants the tow vehicle to leave his property because they are tearing up his yard. An officer responded and explained to the tow truck driver this is a civil matter and the man has requested him off his property. The officer explained to him his company needs to get the proper paperwork to repossess the vehicle.

12:26pm A woman reported she left a laptop at a friend’s residence on West Patten Street and when she went back to get the laptop they would not give it to her. After the officer spoke with both sides he determined the matter to be civil. The resident asked to have the woman trespassed from his residence, so the officer did issue the warning.

1:26pm A building owner on West Broad wanted to speak with an officer in reference to his options on non- payment of rent by a business. He was explained the situation is a civil matter.

3:32pm Walmart reported they had a person in the store that had previously been trespassed. Richard Allen Nicholson, 60, of Mineola was arrested for Criminal Trespass when the officer verified the trespass warning.

10:21pm After a traffic stop on South Pacific Street for a traffic violation, Jack Bryant Hodge, 38 of Alba was arrested for a Smith County Failure to Appear on a DWI warrant and two traffic violations from the stop, which was not displaying registration and expired registration.

11:56pm Wood County S.O. requested assistance on a vehicle wreck with an unconscious occupant just outside the city on Hwy. 69 North. An officer responded until EMS and a DPS Trooper arrived.

11:58am A woman reported a man was in the Walmart Parking lot on Saturday the 8th of December driving an S-10 pickup that drove up to her and made inappropriate comments and exposed himself.

2:26pm A debit card was found in the ATM at a bank on North Pacific Street. The card was returned to the person.

2:50pm A reckless driver was reported on Loop 564, failing to maintain a single lane of traffic. The officer was able to the get the vehicle stopped on Hwy. 80. The driver was fine with no signs of intoxication.

3:15pm A disturbance was reported at a residence on East McDonald Street. The complainant reported her ex-husband at her residence verbally abusing her. Officers responded and found that the ex-husband left when the complaint called. This was verbal only.

8:44pm Harassment was reported by a woman that said a co-worker was making inappropriate comments. The woman was encouraged to report this to her employer.

8:44pm A resident on West Broad reported suspicious activity when a person was seen peeking into the front window of the residence. An officer responded and patrolled the area, but did not find anyone matching the description.

5:45am Wylie Police Department requested a welfare check on a resident on Stone Street. The resident’s friend contacted Wylie P.D. when he became concerned. An officer went to the residence and spoke with the person of concern and everything was fine.

8:27am A woman reported someone possibly taking mail from mailboxes on Gerald Street.

9:28am A business on East Broad Street reported possible package found in cash given to a cashier. An officer responded and found it to be an empty baggie.

10:24am A woman reported an assault that took place the night before at her boyfriend’s residence on South Pacific Street. This is under investigation.

10:29am A man reported he was assaulted the night before by a known man. This is under investigation.

3:24pm A welfare concern was reported for a man walking on East Broad that appeared in poor health. The officer located the man. The man reported he had just had surgery and needed a ride. The officer gave the man a ride to a residence. A woman was also reported to be walking that appeared to need help. An officer found the woman on North Newsom. The woman said she was just out walking.

3:58pm A woman reported she went to pick a family member child up at school and she was not there. The school resource Chief knew where the child was and everything was fine.

10:03am An officer assisted with traffic control at Stone and Broad Street when a water leak and ground erosion was reported.

11:49am An officer assisted EMS when a man was unresponsive at Brookshire’s. The man was transported by EMS.

5:15pm An employee with Facebook reported a welfare concern in reference to a man stating he wished to harm himself.  Officers spoke with the man at an address on Goodson Circle. The man stated he did post some stuff on Facebook, but he did not ever intend to hurt himself. After speaking with the man the officers believed the man did not intend to hurt himself.

6:58pm A resident on Second Street reported medication taken from her residence. This is under investigation.

12:10pm A hit and run was reported in the Walmart parking lot. A witness left a note on the victim’s vehicle indicating they witnessed a red vehicle hit his vehicle. This is under investigation.

4:22pm A reckless driver was reported coming into the city from 37 North. An officer located the vehicle and assessed the driving but did not witness any erratic driving.

5:14pm A reckless driver was reported driving in and out of vehicle at a high rate of speed headed northbound on 69 South. An officer responded to the area but did not locate the vehicle.

7:43pm A resident on Buchanan Street reported the neighbor’s visitors parking in her yard. An officer spoke with the man and told him to not be parking in someone else’s yard.
