The Wood County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Tuesday stabbing near Winnsboro.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, at 1:59 p.m. March 25, dispatch received a 911 report of a stabbing at a residence located on CR 4200. A 50-year-old white male suffered several stab wounds and was transported to a Tyler hospital. The subject is reported to be in stable condition as of this morning. The subject’s step-son, a white adult male, was transported to the Winnsboro hospital for superficial wounds. The preliminary investigation indicates that the two had been in a domestic quarrel, involving alcohol and a knife. As of Wednesday morning the subject in the Tyler hospital is reported to be in stable condition. The other subject was treated and released.
The Sheriff's Office says no arrests have been made or warrants issued pending the ongoing investigation.
