Early voting continues this week in the November Elections. East Texas counties saw record turnout last week, into Saturday in some counties. This past Saturday we had over 370 voters come in,” said Wood County Election Administrator Dawn Criddle. “That is the most we have actually done on a Saturday. In Wood County, over 5,000 votes have been cast early. Other East Texas Counties have seen similar trends. Tomorrow is the last day statewide to cast ballots by mail. “It has to be in our office, not postmarked by Tuesday,” said Criddle. “Now tomorrow we can receive the vote by fax if it is coming from outside the county but it does have to be in our office by tomorrow, either by the mail or through a fax, not dropped off in person.” Early voting end Friday, November 2. |
