According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, a criminal investigation is underway regarding the injuries to 7-month-Taelynn Byron sustained Sunday night in Alba.

Chief Deputy Wes Criddle said details into the investigation can not be released at this time. No arrests have been made in this case.

Baby Taelynn was airlifted to a Dallas hospital late Sunday after suffering broken ribs and a fractured skull. Taelynn is in stable condition today and recovering in the hospital.

Authorities did not identify the person of interest.
