This weekend many local towns will ring in the Christmas Spirit with events all day to be followed by parades.

In Mineola, a tour of homes is scheduled for Saturday afternoon. The tour will lead East Texans through a part of history not just in Mineola but the surrounding areas.

“The tour will include homes in Golden, Mineola and Haiesville,” said Mineola Chamber President Pam Franklin. “These establishments are actually not all homes, but structures that have been around for over 100 years. All three locations have a 100 year history or more.”
