A lawsuit filed by the survivors of a Gilmer woman who died in the Gregg County jail has been settled out of court.

The family of 33-year-old Amy Lynn Cowling claimed she died as a result of being denied prescription drugs while in jail.

The details of the settlement have not been revealed.
