An East Texas man was shot and killed Saturday in southern Franklin County and the man allegedly responsible is behind bars. The shooting took place on FM 3357 and killed 37-year-old Juvenal Gonzales. 31-year-old Clint Harris of Sulphur Springs was arrested and charged with Gonzales’ murder.
Authorities say Gonzales went to the residence with intentions to pick up his children for visitation. Gonzales and the mother of his children began to argue when Harris entered the room and shot Gonzalez.
Harris was also charged with Felon in Possession of a firearm. Harris' bonds totaled $900,000.
