Authorities are seeking the suspect in a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning near Grand Saline. According to Grand Saline Police Chief Larry Compton, the victim was allegedly shot in the chest and transported via helicopter to a local hospital.
According to DPS, 31-year-old William Lee Honea of Yantis is considered armed and dangerous and may be carrying a semi-automatic rifle.
Officials say Honea may be traveling with 25-year-old Cortney Summerlin of Camp Wood. The pair may be in one of three vehicles: a black Chevrolet Z71 pickup truck, a white 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck or a gold dually-style pickup truck.
Honea is wanted for possession of a controlled substance in Wood County following a September 2012 incident. Summerlin is wanted on three warrants in Wood County, including credit card abuse and two counts of forgery.
