Day 2 of the 2011 Bassmaster Classic ended with Kevin VanDam in the lead.
Fog delayed start of the tournament again today, preventing the fishermen from leaving shore until nearly 10 a.m. this morning. The three hour delay resulted in minimal fishing time for several contestants. Those who chose to venture out to Venice to set up shop today found themselves limited on time. Some men only saw half an hour of actually fishing. Time constraints didn't seem to matter for some competitors however as Kevin VanDam totaled nearly 42 pounds by the end of the day.
Mineola's Kelly Jordon failed to make the cut of 25 that will hit the water at 7 a.m. tomorrow.
Brent Chapman came on strong in day 2 and heading into the final day of competiton sits in second place behind VanDam.
