12:09 a.m. Russell Cummings Moreland, 58 of Mineola was arrested for DWI after a traffic stop at North Pacific Street when he failed to signal the required distance at East Patten and North Pacific Street.

8:12 a.m. Two keys were turned in to the police department when a citizen found them in the police department parking lot.

9:53 a.m. Dow Chevrolet requested a man to be trespassed from their property after repeated harassment. The man was trespassed.

10:40 a.m. A woman on University Street reported two bicycles stolen from her yard.

10:59 a.m. A man reported his wife was supposed to follow him home but she did not make it. The department put out a broadcast to look for her. Our department was notified by Wood County S.O. that she was at the courthouse for court.

12:40 p.m. A city employee found a small amount of Meth in the parking lot of the train depot. The Meth was turned over to the P.D. for disposal.

2:05 p.m. City National Bank reported an issue with a woman inside the bank using foul language and acting strange. An officer responded and asked to leave. The woman left with no problem.

8:33 p.m. A disturbance was reported at the Mineola Youth Foundation Park. A criminal trespass was issued to a man and his wife and an assault report is under investigation.

12:08 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported at a residence on Giles Street with bright head lights on and someone was playing loud music from the vehicle. The vehicle left before officers arrived, however the caller reported it was a relative.

6:40 p.m. A reckless driver was reported on North Newsom. An officer located the driver when the elderly man was already back to his driveway. The officer assisted the man into his residence.

8:44 p.m. A criminal mischief was reported on Graham Street. A rock was thrown at a window. This is under investigation.

11:00 p.m. Loud music was reported at a residence on West McDonald. The homeowner was contacted and given a verbal warning.

11:46 p.m. A caller reported someone being loud at the Civic Center and disturbing residents on Molly Lane. The officer responded but was unable to find anyone being loud.

12:49 p.m. A woman reported verbal abuse of a child at the Express Wash Laundry on North Pacific Street. An officer responded, but did not find anyone.

4:58 p.m. A burn violation was reported on West Broad Street. An officer responded and found the tenants did not have a burn permit. They were asked to put the fire out and get a permit during the week.

8:22 p.m. Lance Dean Davis, 31 of Mineola was arrested for No Proof of Liability Insurance. The officer stopped Davis for backing when unsafe on South Pacific Street.

8:46 p.m. A disturbance was reported on Second Street. The officer responded and found it began as a verbal argument and then the boyfriend pushed his girlfriend. The boyfriend left for the night and she did not wish to file charges. A report was written for family violence purposes.

4:09 p.m. A verbal disturbance was reported in the Sonic parking lot between a man and woman. An officer responded. The two left in separate vehicles.

9:32 p.m. A man reported his nephew took a vehicle without permission on North Line Street. The officer was able to make contact with the nephew and advised him to return the vehicle.

12:39 a.m. A man called requesting a suicide hotline. The officer responded to Freeman Street, talked to the man, and then requested an ambulance. The man was transported by an ambulance to the hospital for help.

9:26 a.m. A woman reported getting harassing phone calls on W. Kilpatrick Street.

10:09 a.m. A man turned in a wallet that was found in the street on West Broad. The woman was contacted and she picked the wallet up.

10:46 a.m. Walmart reported a theft that was captured on video from May 6, 2018. This is under investigation.

2:18 p.m. An officer assisted a motorist by changing his flat tire at Johnson Street and Greenville Street.

2:20 p.m. Walmart reported a theft that was captured by video. This is under investigation.

3:24 p.m. Walmart reported another theft that was captured on video that occurred a few days ago. This is under investigation.

4:09 p.m. A dog was reported in a vehicle on South Johnson Street. The woman was leaving when the officer arrived.

4:27 p.m. Bill Charles Neal, 46 of Mineola was arrested for a local Harassment warrant.

5:54 p.m. A dog was reported in a car at Walmart, with the windows rolled up. An officer made contact with the owner as they were leaving. The dog was fine.

6:49 p.m. Jodie Lynn Denton, 37 of Grand Saline was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Denton was stopped on East Buchanan for a traffic violation. The officer found paraphernalia and arrested her, but when she arrived at the jail she had Methamphetamine hidden in her clothes.

9:17 a.m. An officer met with a man that sold some items but was not paid on East McDonald Street. The man was referred to the JP court for a civil issue.

12:29 p.m. A man requested a welfare check on his mother who lives on Circle Drive. He was unable to make contact with her on the phone. She was located and told to contact her son.

5:07 p.m. A complaint was received that a dog was in a car at Walmart with the windows up and the vehicle was parked in a fire lane. When the officer arrived the vehicle was not there, but he later came to the police department and said his windows were cracked and he was not in a fire lane.

8:39 p.m. A 911 call was received with a small child on the phone. The call was lost and the department could not get in contact. An officer responded to the residence on Cage Street. The child had been playing with the phone.

4:01 a.m. Jacqueline Dee Courson, 45 of Mineola was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Courson was stopped at the intersection of West Blair and Second Street for a traffic violation and found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

9:57 a.m. A 911 call was received at the Civic Center and the call was lost. The department could not get anyone to answer. An officer was dispatched and the woman said she was having phone problems.

12:09 p.m. A disturbance was reported on Dubose Street. An officer responded and found the man had left in the woman’s vehicle and pushed her. The woman wanted him trespassed from the property.

7:56 p.m. Two suspicious vehicles were reported parked together at the Civic Center. An officer arrived and found that the two were just hanging out. One of the driver’s did not have a valid driver’s license, so he left his vehicle until he could have someone pick it up.

The department responded to 8 reckless driver calls and 5 assist other agency calls.

The officers conducted many traffic stops, including many trucks for violating the truck route.
