2:14 a.m. A resident on Carolyn Street reported an ex-boyfriend knocking on the door and windows. The man left while the resident was on the phone. A directed patrol was issued for the residence.

2:55 a.m. A woman reported her daughter had taken a rental car that was in the woman’s name. The woman said
she found the vehicle on Padgett Street and needed an officer to respond to that location, so she could
get the keys and get the vehicle returned to the rental company. Wyatt’s Wrecker was contacted to pick
the vehicle up.

6:39 a.m. A woman on Hart Street reported her friend had went out of town and left her vehicle, but the vehicle was missing.

10:08 a.m. The missing vehicle was located on Miller Street. The owner picked the vehicle up and did not wish to pursue charges or an investigation.

10:25 a.m. A man on Circle Drive reported an IRS scam. The man reported he was called demanding money.
Note: IRS will never call you. IRS will send you a letter for correspondence.

10:49 a.m. A neighbor reported a woman getting out of a vehicle at the neighbors residence and they were out of
town. The neighbor said the woman got in a vehicle with a man and left. Nothing was found to be stolen
from the vehicle.

4:25 p.m. A reckless driver was reported on South Pacific Street. A DPS trooper was close by and stopped the vehicle.

5:51 p.m. Lisa Dobbs, 34 of Mineola was arrested for Criminal Trespassing at Walmart. Dobbs had previously been warned with a trespass letter.

5:59 p.m. Officers responded to a business on West Broad when two children had been locked in a vehicle. The officers unlocked the vehicle.

6:40 p.m. A Burglary of a Vehicle was reported on Pegues Street. The vehicle was unlocked. Some items were taken from the vehicle.

10:00 p.m. A resident on West Kilpatrick reported hearing a gun shot. Officers patrolled the area but did not find where the sound was coming from.

4:45 a.m. A welfare concern was reported by a family member in reference to their daughter possibly causing problems on Kevin Drive. An officer responded and called EMS. EMS transported her to the hospital.

11:38 a.m. A woman reported a man and woman walking behind a building on East Broad Street. An officer responded to the area. They were not there when the officer arrived.

8:25 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the train depot to assist with a female that was discovered on the train without a ticket. She was removed from the train.

10:27 p.m. A disturbance was reported on Dubose Street. It was reported that 6 people were fighting in the street.
When the officers arrived they found that the disturbance was verbal only. One man was issued two
trespass warnings from the properties.

12:31 a.m. An officer assisted EMS on a medical call on McWhorter Street.

3:36 a.m. An assault was reported on Stone Street. A woman reported that her boyfriend hit her several times.
When the officer arrived the boyfriend was not present. The woman did not wish to pursue charges. A
family violence report was filed.

5:21 a.m. A 911 disconnect was received on McWhorter Street. An officer responded to the residence but no one was at home.

11:39 a.m. A woman on Padgett Street reported her son was at her residence and he would not leave. An officer
responded to the residence. The incident was verbal only and the son did leave the residence.

5:36 p.m. A reckless driver was reported on North Pacific, headed south. An officer was dispatched but he was unable to locate the vehicle.

11:06 p.m. A burglary of a vehicle was reported after a resident captured the incident on camera. The vehicle was unlocked. Some items were taken from the vehicle.

1:48 a.m. A noise complaint was received on Dubose Street. The resident reported a construction type noise that
was keeping them awake. An officer responded and talked to the neighbor. The neighbor shut the work
down for the night.

12:15 p.m. A reported harassment from his mother’s ex-boyfriend. The officer found that no offense had occurred and he was referred to Wood County S.O.

3:37 p.m. A reckless driver was reported coming into the city from 80 West. An officer was dispatched. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle upon his arrival to the area.

7:41 p.m. A complaint was received in reference to kids riding 4 wheelers next to the train tracks. An officer
responded and found the two that were on private property. They were warned about getting on the

8:08 p.m. A 911 hang up call was received from Freeman Street. An officer responded and found it to be an accidental call.

Monday, July 16, 2018
6:05 a.m. A 911 hang up call was received from South Stone Street. An officer responded to the residence but no one was at home.

8:11 a.m. A wallet was reported to be lost at Walmart when checking out. An officer went to Walmart and watched
the surveillance video. Video showed that the man took the wallet with him when he left checkout. The
man called back later to report he had found the wallet at his residence.

10:50 a.m. Children were reported to be around a vehicle on someone else’s property. The children were found and
spoken to by the officer. The children said they were just playing but that they understood to not go on
the property again.

11:11 a.m. An SD card was located in the Whataburger parking lot and turned in. The owner was located and the card was returned.

11:37 a.m. Dispatch received a call on 911 with an open line. An officer went to the residence on South Johnson Street and found it was accidental.

12:48 p.m. A Life Line was activated on North Newsom Street. An officer responded to the residence and found that the Life Line button was not working correctly and everything was fine.

1:25 p.m. A reckless driver was reported on South Pacific Street. An officer located the vehicle and followed it, but did not observe any traffic violation.

3:23 p.m. A man reported that his 16 year old daughter received tattoos from a man while his daughter was hanging out at a teenage friend’s house. This case is under investigation with charges pending.

5:01 p.m. A reckless driver was reported through Wood County S.O. that a fuel tanker truck was coming into the city at Loop 564 and Hwy. 69 North. An officer responded to the call but did not find the vehicle.

5:45 p.m. A disturbance was reported in the back parking lot of a business on Loop 564. Officers responded to the location. The two males had already left upon officers arrival.

12:26 a.m. A verbal disturbance was reported in a back yard off of North Johnson Street. An officer patrolled the area
of Johnson and Patten Street. The caller advised the male had left prior to the officer’s arrival to the area.
The officer did not find the couple involved in the disturbance.

2:56 a.m. A verbal disturbance was reported on University Street when a woman showed up at a residence drunk
and waking everyone up. The woman had already left and was at another neighbor’s residence for the

8:47 a.m. A business on South Pacific reported a Theft of Service. The business had paid a company in Tyler for merchandise, but the merchandise was never delivered. This is under investigation.

10:02 a.m. A reckless driver was reported at Loop 564 and North Pacific. The vehicle reportedly turned in at a bank. An officer was in the bank at the time and reported the driver was ok.

3:01 p.m. A resident reported a man sitting outside their residence on East Loop 564. A directed patrol was issued for the residence.

8:12 p.m. A welfare concern was reported in reference to a woman walking in the roadway at Greenville and North
Pacific Street. An officer located the woman at a business on North Pacific Street. EMS was contacted and
the woman was transported to UT Health in Quitman.


Wednesday, July 18 2018

12:10 a.m. A resident reported a package missing from his porch on West Blair that was delivered by the postal
service. The following morning the resident reported a family member picked the package up to keep it
from getting stolen.

9:52 a.m. A vehicle burglary was reported at a residence on North Pacific. The vehicle was unlocked. An IPhone and a tablet was taken from the vehicle.

11:23 a.m. A reckless driver was reported driving erratic Greenville and North Pacific Street. The vehicle reportedly
turned into a business. An officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle. The officer found no
problems with the driver.

11:30 a.m. A verbal disturbance was reported on West Patten Street between a man and a woman. An officer responded to the call. The boyfriend left the property and everything was ok.

4:23 p.m. A reckless driver involving an 18 wheeler was reported. An officer got the 18 wheeler stopped but did not find any problems with the driver.

8:59 p.m. A trespass violation was reported on Dubose Street involving a man that had already been trespassed
from the residence. An officer responded and found that the resident had invited the man to his
residence. No crime was committed.

9:53 p.m. A missing person (runaway) was reported by Tyler PD. The 16 year old female ran away from New Mexico but was found in Tyler. She was turned over to CPS. She was transported to the train depot by CPS to be sent back to New Mexico. The juvenile did not get on the train. She has been entered as a missing person (runaway).

11:41 p.m. A disturbance was reported at a residence on North Johnson Street. The woman reported that her
brother assaulted her. An officer responded to the residence, but the suspect had already left the
residence. The woman did not wish to file charges. A family violence report was completed.

11:43 p.m. A welfare concern was reported at a business on North Pacific Street for an elderly woman that was with her care giver. An officer responded to the location and reported the elderly woman was ok.
