2:03 a.m. A disturbance was reported at a residence on North Pacific Street. Neighbors could hear yelling. Officers responded and found the argument to be verbal only between two residents.

6:42 a.m. A reckless driver was reported by Wood County S.O., coming in to the city from the Alba area. Officers responded, but did not locate the vehicle.

7:26 p.m. Customers at Whataburger reported an intoxicated man attempting to get in a vehicle and drive off. A customer talked him into not driving. Officers arrived and found the man to be intoxicated. He was offered to find someone to pick him up and take responsibility for him. After the man said he didn’t have anyone to pick him up, Brian Mark Bishop, 63 of Quitman was placed in custody for Public Intoxication.

9:05 p.m. A customer at Valero on South Pacific Street reported a disturbance in the store. An officer arrived and determined from the employee that there was a verbal disturbance between some customers, but they left prior to the officer’s arrival.

9:43 p.m. Officers assisted EMS on a medical call on Minwood Street.

9:47 p.m. Officers assisted EMS on another medical call on North Newsom Street.

11:53 p.m. A neighbor reported a juvenile at a residence on Stone Street getting cigarettes out of the neighbor’s ashtray. An officer arrived and found the juvenile at his own residence on Stone Street. An officer spoke with a parent and the juvenile about the situation.

10:54 a.m. A man reported that he needed to pay a bill at a business on North Pacific Street, but he overheard the employee say the day before that he was not allowed in the store. The man wanted an officer to accompany him to the store. An officer found out from the business that the man was not allowed in the store and he was told by the officer.

11:35 a.m. Officers assisted an 18 wheeler that was broke down at the intersection of Broad and Pacific Street.

11:48 a.m. A welfare concern was reported for a woman in the Walmart parking lot. Officers responded to the call and spoke with a female that was reportedly having suicidal thoughts. The woman denied any problems, but did agree to go the Andrews Center.

12:53 p.m. Aaron’s reported a theft of service when a customer refused to return the property after not making payments.

5:46 p.m. Gunshots were reported on the west side of the airport on Country Club Drive. A resident was located that said he did shoot his firearm, but he thought he was out of the city limits.

8:36 p.m. A welfare concern was reported when a man was reportedly driving around and is believed to be drinking. Officers located the vehicle and followed it, but did not observe any indication that the driver was impaired.

9:24 p.m. Officers assisted a citizen when he needed a ride home in the city limits.

10:42 p.m. Possible gunshots were reported in the area of North Newsom and Cage Street by a resident. The officer patrolled the area and talked with several citizens in the area, but no one knew exactly where the shots were coming from.

12:20 a.m. A resident on Phillips Street reported he and his wife was having an argument and he would like for an officer to come arrest him. The man reported he had been drinking and he was waiting on the porch with the light on. Officers arrived and determined the resident had threatened to hit his wife. Herman Candelario Ramirez, 36, Mineola, was arrested for Assault by Threat.

6:42 a.m. Suspicious vehicles were reported at a business on West Broad Street. Officer made contact with the owner of the vehicle and found that he owns the business.

7:30 a.m. A welfare concern was reported for a man that was reportedly passed out in the back yard of a residence on Turman Street and the music was playing loud. An officer checked on the status of the man and found that he said he was fine and refused medical care. The man went inside his residence.

3:53 p.m. A suspicious person was reportedly sitting in a vehicle in front of a resident’s residence and she did not know who they were. An officer responded, but the vehicle was not there upon the officer’s arrival.

5:31 p.m. Two residents on Carolyn Street was reportedly burning. Both residents were told to put the fires out and warned about the city ordinance violations.

10:05 p.m. A welfare concern was reported when a woman was reportedly slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle on North Pacific Street. Officers checked on the status of the woman and conducted a field sobriety test. The woman was not showing signs of intoxication. She refused medical treatment and drove away.

10:39 p.m. Loud music was reported at a residence on Wigley Street. An officer responded and had the resident turn the music down.

11:34 p.m. Possible underage drinking was reported at a residence on English Street. An officer responded to the residence and found everyone to be of age.

12:15 a.m. A suspicious vehicle was found at the Civic Center by an officer. Two juveniles were in the vehicle. A parent picked up one juvenile and the parent for the other juvenile was contacted.

2:43 p.m. Loud music was reported coming from a vehicle on Krause Street. An officer responded to the area, but did not hear any loud music. The vehicle was leaving when the officer arrived.

4:08 p.m. A disturbance was reported on Wren Street. An officer arrived at the scene and determined that one female was assaulted but she did not wish to file charges. The male suspect was issued a criminal trespass warning. The female signed a waiver of non- prosecution.  A family violence report was filed and this is under investigation.

1:27 a.m. Loud music was reported on Graves Street. Officers responded and patrolled the area, but did not find the loud music.

5:04 a.m. An employee found what was believed to be drugs in a small baggy at Walmart. An officer responded and took possession of the Controlled Substance.

12:49 p.m. Walmart reported a shoplifter. Annabelle Angel Woods, 17, Mineola was arrested for Theft over $100 under $750.

2:48 p.m. A reckless driver was reported on South Pacific Street. An officer stopped the vehicle, but did not find any signs of intoxication with the driver.

3:55 p.m. Jesse Lee Hasten, 26, of Hawkins was arrested for local traffic warrants.

5:08 p.m. A resident on North Pacific Street reported someone taking beer from his garage refrigerator.

7:22 p.m. A reckless driver was reported speeding up and down the roadway at Sycamore and Patten Street. A directed patrol was issued for that area.

7:29 p.m. A license plate was reported stolen from the Walmart parking lot.

9:14 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was reported on McWhorter Street sitting in front of a residence. The vehicle was gone upon the officer’s arrival.

1:11 p.m. A resident on West Kilpatrick Street had a civil issue and needed assistance with his ex-wife coming to the residence to get property. He was told if a problem arose to contact the police department.

2:29 p.m. A fence was placed on Short Street in the alleyway by a resident. The fence was taken down.

2:55 p.m. A welfare concern was reported for a resident on Wigley Street when the mail was piling up and the lawn had not been cut. The resident was located and everything was fine.

3:33 p.m. A Social Security card was found on the sidewalk in front of a business on East Broad Street. The card was turned in and the owner received it back.

5:02 p.m. A man reported that he was assaulted by another male on West Buchanan. This is under investigation.

10:03 p.m. A vehicle was reported stolen on Wigley Street. The vehicle was located by Wood County S.O. the following morning on CR. 3865.

4:06 p.m. 3 juveniles were taken into custody after a resident on West McDonald Street reported the juveniles knocked on her door. She did not answer the door and she witnessed them go to the back of her residence and get a wagon. They reportedly took the wagon to the front of the residence, out toward the roadway and damaged the wagon by breaking the wheels. The juveniles were returned to their parent or guardians and directed to report to Juvenile Probation the following morning.

5:22 p.m. A Mexico ID card was found in the Kidd Jones parking lot and turned in. The man that it belonged to picked up the ID at the department.

5:36 p.m. A wallet was found at the Express Wash Laundry and turned into to the department. The owner was located and the wallet was returned.

5:59 p.m. A disturbance was reported when a witness reported a man standing in front of a vehicle with a female in the vehicle. The man was reportedly yelling at the woman. An officer responded to the call at Newsom and Good Street. The officer determined it was verbal only and the two parties separated to prevent further problems.

7:49 p.m. A backpack was found at Peterson Park. The backpack was returned to the owner.
