April 17, 2019 to April 23, 2019

April 17th

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on FM 2869 near Hawkins; at approximately 12:15 a.m. Christopher Booker, 31, of Wills Point, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 80 near Hawkins, at approximately 9:29 a.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, damaged and stole several items from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:57 p.m., in reference to an incident that occurred on HWY 154 near Yantis. Deputies determined this to be a civil matter and cleared the incident.

At 6:31 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Alba.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1416 near Quitman, at approximately 7:04 p.m., in reference to harassment. Deputies made contact with the actor and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3494 near Hawkins, at approximately 7:16 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies issued a Criminal Trespass Warning and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2260 near Mineola, at approximately 8:50 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

April 18th

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 3428 near Hawkins; at approximately 12:12 a.m. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:21 a.m., in reference to an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on CR 3819 near Hawkins. Actors, or actors unknown, took the reporting party’s vehicle without authorization. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 3147 near Quitman; at approximately 9:32 a.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2840 near Mineola, at approximately 10:07 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

At 10:50 a.m., cows were reported out on HWY 154 near Quitman.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to Holley St. in Alba; at approximately 2:19 p.m. Bill Neal, 47, of Alba, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1534 near Alba, at approximately 3:32 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole an air compressor from the reporting party’s property. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to Kickapoo near Quitman, at approximately 6:40 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies made contact with the actor and cleared the incident.

At 7:42 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 17 near Alba.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to PR 7835 near Hawkins; at approximately 8:12 p.m. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Yantis, at approximately 8:15 p.m., in reference to an assault that occurred. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to FM 3056 near Hawkins; at approximately 8:32 p.m. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to PR 6536 near Mineola; at approximately 8:56 p.m. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 2311 near Mineola; at approximately 9:21 p.m. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to CR 4230 near Winnsboro; at approximately 10:54 p.m. Deputies checked the area, but were unable to make contact with the individual.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 11:27 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

April 19th

Deputies were dispatched to FM 2966 near Yantis, at approximately 1:21 a.m., in reference to a welfare check. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

At 7:28 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 3940 near Hawkins.

At 12:37 p.m., horses were reported out on FM 182 near Quitman.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3425 near Hawkins, at approximately 12:59 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies determined this to be a civil matter and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 154 near Quitman, at approximately 4:38 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 6:17 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 779 near Alba.

Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle on CR 2280 near Mineola; at approximately 6:40 p.m. Deputies located the vehicle provided a courtesy transport for the individual.

At 7:05 p.m., cows were reported out on FM 14 near Hawkins.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 7:16 p.m., in reference to an abandoned vehicle. Deputies located the vehicle and everything was OK.

At 8:21 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2297 near Mineola.

At 8:36 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2770 near Mineola.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 8692 near Winnsboro, at approximately 9:17 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole a trampoline and basket ball goal from the reporting party’s property.

April 20th

At 10:10 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 2700 near Mineola.

At 11:45 a.m., cows were reported out on CR 4691 near Winnsboro.

At 2:44 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2422 near Mineola.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 3:34 p.m., in reference to harassment on CR 1600 near Alba. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2140 near Quitman, at approximately 6:13 p.m., in reference to a complaint. Deputies located the individuals and advised them to keep the 4-wheelers and go-karts off the roadway.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4890 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:25 p.m., in reference to a noise complaint. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1681 near Alba, at approximately 7:41 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with the actor and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1688 near Alba, at approximately 7:55 p.m., in reference to suspicious circumstances. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on CR 4849 near Winnsboro; at approximately 8:09 p.m. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1522 near Alba, at approximately 8:48 p.m., in reference to theft. Actors, or actors unknown, stole the reporting party’s dogs. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2164 near Quitman, at approximately 9:17 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate any activity.

Deputies were dispatched to HWY 37 near Quitman, at approximately 9:34 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. James Henderson, 62, of Quitman, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

April 21st

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1411 near Quitman, at approximately 4:59 a.m., in reference to a dispute. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4560 near Winnsboro, at approximately 7:27 p.m., in reference to a dispute. Parties were separated for the night.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4919 near Quitman, at approximately 9:24 p.m., in reference to shots fired. Deputies located the individuals with firearms and everything was OK.

April 22nd

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4919 near Quitman, at approximately 1:58 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Amber Matheson, 25, of Quitman, was arrested for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Violence.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 3130 near Quitman, at approximately 9:08 a.m., in reference to a possible burglary. Deputies located the individual and everything was OK.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 11:59 a.m., in reference to terroristic threat on CR 4918 near Quitman. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 2:01 p.m., in reference to criminal trespass on CR 3270 near Mineola. Deputies gave the reporting party advice and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 852 near Winnsboro, at approximately 6:17 p.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies issued Criminal Trespass Warnings and cleared the incident.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 1975 near Yantis, at approximately 7:37 p.m., in reference to a reckless driver. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle.

Deputies were dispatched to FM 49 near Mineola, at approximately 10:26 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

April 23rd

Deputies responded to a suspicious person on HWY 80 near Mineola; at approximately 12:08 a.m. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the individual.

Deputies were dispatched to PR 5675 near Alba, at approximately 12:15 a.m., in reference to a disturbance. Deputies spoke with all parties involved and cleared the incident.

Deputies spoke with the reporting party, at approximately 9:48 a.m., in reference to criminal trespass on CR 2133 near Quitman. Deputies made contact with the actor and issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 2297 near Mineola, at approximately 12:17 p.m., in reference to an alarm. Deputies checked the building and it was secure.

At 12:22 p.m., cows were reported out on CR 2140 near Quitman.

Deputies went out on an arrest/warrant service to the Wood County Courthouse; at approximately 1:41 p.m. Philip Emerson, 45, of Hawkins, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Deputies were dispatched to CR 4700 near Winnsboro, at approximately 4:37 p.m., in reference to a burglary. Actors, or actors unknown, stole several items from the reporting party’s residence. This case has been forwarded to investigators.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on HWY 37 near Mineola; at approximately 9:18 p.m., Trederrion Stephens, 27, of Dallas, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Between the dates of April 17 and April 23, Wood County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to multiple agency assists that included the following: Emergency Medical Services, Mineola Police Department, Winnsboro Police Department and Quitman Fire Department.

Between the dates of April 17 and April 23, Wood County Sheriff’s Investigators obtained 2 arrest warrants and arrested the individuals, filed 2 cases with the District Attorney and recovered $37,700 worth of stolen property.

Total Jail Count – 118 inmates – 91 males and 27 females.
