6:46 a.m. Officers assisted a family member at a residence to get in touch with a resident on S. Stone Street to get some property they needed, because the family member could not get the resident to answer the door. Everything was fine.

9:13 a.m. A reckless driver was reported coming into the city pulling a trailer loaded with logs that was fishtailing. An officer waiting at the city limits, but did not observe the truck.

3:40 p.m. A reckless driver with out of State License Plates was reportedly coming into the city and was unable to maintain a single lane of traffic. An officer responded to the north city limits, but did not observe the vehicle.

3:43 p.m. A verbal disturbance between a mother and her adult son was reported on Padgett Street. The mother just wanted an officer to respond and speak with her son that was yelling and cursing. An officer did respond to the residence and speak with both parties and everything settled down.

8:45 p.m. Walmart reported finding a theft that occurred by reviewing video. A report was completed and this is under investigation.

11:56 p.m. Smith County S.O. reported they received an anonymous call in reference to someone using a spot light at the Nature Preserve. An officer responded to the located, but did not find anyone and the gates were secure.

12:23 a.m. EMS called in a possible overdose at a business on South Johnson Street. An officer responded and found that the call was actually in reference to a verbal argument that had occurred at a residence at Lake Brenda. Everything was fine.

10:08 a.m. William Ellis Abrams, 34, of Hawkins, was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after he was stopped for his vehicle obstructing the roadway on Harris Street. Abrams was in possession of pipe with Meth residue.

10:31 a.m. A resident on South Street reported she was being harassed by the neighbor. Every time the resident reportedly goes outside, the neighbor starts yelling at her. An officer spoke with the resident.

1:48 p.m. A welfare concern was reported in the Walmart Parking lot when a woman stated a little boy, around 7 years old was in the parking lot by himself and appeared to be scared. An officer responded and found that the 9 Year old boy was at the store with his grandfather and was just waiting on him to come out.

2:57 p.m. A resident on West Blair Street reported his neighbor put his leaves and brush in his yard, so he put the leaves and brush back in the neighbor’s yard. The neighbor showed up at that time and an argument ensued over the brush and leaves. An officer spoke with both subjects and everything calmed down, and the brush was picked up.

7:39 p.m. Wood County was in pursuit of a motorcycle that was headed toward the city, but the motorcycle turned off before getting into the city limits. The officers were waiting to assist with traffic lights if needed.

8:53 p.m. Officers met with a resident that lives on North Pacific Street in reference to harassment from the landlord. She was explained that this type situation is a civil matter.

9:51 p.m. Officers responded to a call of a Hispanic male in the roadway with a cell phone light, pacing back and forth on Country Club Drive. When the officers arrived, they found the man lying on the ground. It was determined that he was intoxicated. A friend picked the man up and took him to his mother’s residence.

10:24 p.m. A Burglary of a Vehicle was reported on Carolyn Street. The resident reported when he walked out into his garage a man was in his wife’s vehicle and took off running. The resident located at the end of the driveway, his wife’s debit card and some cash that was taken from the vehicle. The doors were unlocked.

10:41 p.m. Carlos Hernandez, 19, of Mineola came into the police department to speak with an officer. It was determined that he was the same man from an earlier call that was released to his mother, because he was intoxicated. Carlos was arrested for Public Intoxication.

11:03 p.m. A resident on Krause Street reported that someone drove by his residence and accused him of stealing something from them and they pulled a gun on him. An officer responded to the residence and spoke with the male. At that time he told the officer that two females pulled up in front of his residence and pointed an orange tip BB gun at him. The male refused to provide any further information.

11:07 p.m. Loud music was reported in the area of Wood and Carolyn Street. When the officers responded the music was already turned down.

12:23 a.m. Loud music was reported again on Wood Street. Officer responded to the area and advised the resident to turn the music down. The resident was issued a warning.

7:05 a.m. A man was reportedly sleeping on a picnic table under the Pavilion at the Civic Center for a couple days. An officer responded to the area and identified the subject. He was asked to leave the park.

8:29 a.m. Fireworks were reported in the area of South and Krause. An officer responded to the area, but did not find the source of the reported noise.

1:22 p.m. A verbal disturbance was reported at a residence on Wigley Street. The two parties were separated for the day.

2:46 p.m. Walmart reported a shoplifter leaving the store. The male left before an officer arrived. A report was filed and this is under investigation.

4:00 p.m. An officer assisted a Wood County Deputy on a traffic stop on North Johnson Street.

8:37 p.m. An assault was reported at a residence on Wigley Street. Cary Eugene Lane, 20, of Mineola was arrested for Assault Bodily Injury when he assaulted a 15 year old that resides at the same residence. The 15 year old male also stated he was pushed by an adult female in the residence. Charges were not filed on the female due to the victim signing a non-prosecution.

2:45 a.m. While an officer was on routine patrol on East Blair Street, a vehicle door was found open at a residence. The officer checked with the resident and found that he accidentally left the door open.

10:03 a.m. Andrea Shiloh McClain, 33 of Mineola was arrested at her residence for a Parole Violation warrant and a Lindale Police Department warrant for Theft with 2 or more previous convictions.

10:33 a.m. A woman called and advised that she had video of a male subject burning her property at a residence where she had been staying on Wigley Street. Arrangements were made with another resident to allow the woman to have her property from the residence.

9:31 a.m. A welfare concern was reported by a family member involving a sister that they had not had contact with for a couple weeks and was worried about her. An officer responded to where the sister was reportedly living and made contact with her.

10:31 a.m. A welfare concern was reported in reference to a woman sitting in a vehicle in the Walmart Parking lot that was extremely hard to wake up. An officer responded to the location and spoke with the female. EMS was contacted to check her out. The female turned out to be ok, but she went to a friend’s residence to get someone to drive her vehicle.

10:58 a.m. A business on West McDonald reported a theft when an ex-employee reportedly took a laptop. This is under investigation. The business requested two individuals to be trespassed from the property.

5:02 p.m. A resident on West Blair Street reported harassment when a neighbor was looking over their fence.

9:00 p.m. A verbal disturbance was reported at a residence on University Street. A woman that was moving out reported she was being threatened by a roommate while she was attempting to move out. An officer responded to the call and determined the argument was in reference to a civil issue.

9:09 p.m. A resident on West Kilpatrick requested to meet with an officer in reference to a civil matter.

10:03 p.m. An officer assisted a stranded motorist that had driven their vehicle off in the ditch because the axle broke on the vehicle.

12:01 a.m. A reckless driver was reported coming into the city at a high rate of speed and throwing stuff out the window of the vehicle on Hwy. 69. An officer responded to the area, but did not locate the vehicle.

10:15 a.m. A business on West Broad Street requested an officer to trespass a customer that was cursing and causing a scene.

10:17 a.m. A reckless driver was reportedly failing to maintain a single lane of traffic, coming into the city on East Broad Street. An officer responded to the area, but was unable to locate the vehicle.

2:14 p.m. An officer assisted a stranded motorist with a flat tire on South Pacific Street.

5:44 p.m. A verbal disturbance was reported at a residence on North Newsom Street. When the officers arrived Marijuana was found in plain view inside the residence. Jarvis Tyrese Lee, 30, of Mineola, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz. The disturbance was verbal only, between the two at the residence.

8:28 p.m. A disturbance was reported at a residence on West Kilpatrick. A female was reportedly cursing and throwing things around inside the residence. Officers responded to the residence and determined it to be verbal only. The two were separated for the night.

1:46 a.m. An officer assisted EMS with a medical call on University Street.

10:17 a.m. Cheryl Denise Hunt, 45, of Mineola was arrested on South Street for a traffic violation.

11:04 a.m. Carrie Vance, 46, of Mineola was arrested for an outstanding Wood County warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and an on-site charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance under 1 gram after an officer observed her walking on North Johnson Street and knew she had a warrant. Vance was in possession of baggies with Meth residue at the time of her arrest.

12:13 p.m. A business on North Pacific Street reported two fraudulent checks that had been written for Groceries and fuel in June. The two checks were determined to be fraudulent.

1:30 p.m. A reckless driver, driving on the wrong side of the roadway was reportedly headed westbound in the eastbound lane on Hwy. 80 East. Officers responded to the east city limits, but was unable to locate the vehicle.

1:44 p.m. Loud music was reported around Padgett and Belcher Street. An officer responded to the area, but was unable to locate any loud music.

2:12 p.m. an officer assisted a stranded motorist on North Pacific Street at McDonald Street.

2:57 p.m. Donald Christopher Buchanan, 46, of Mineola and Marvin Lee Carr, 62, of Mineola were arrested after Buchanan was stopped on East McDonald Street for an expired registration. Buchanan was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance under 1 Gram (Meth), Possession of Marijuana under 2 oz. and Driving While License Invalid (enhanced). Carr, the passenger, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance under 1 gram (Meth) and Possession of a Controlled Substance under 28 grams (pills).  

7:07 p.m. A resident on West Blair Street reported the neighbor was on her property. An officer responded to the residence and determined the dispute to be a civil issue over property lines.

7:30 p.m. A welfare concern was reported for a resident on West Kilpatrick that was acting strange. An officer responded to the residence, but was unable to make contact with the individual.

8:38 p.m. A woman reported her ex-boyfriend pointed a gun at her when she drove by on Read Street. This is under investigation.

10:13 p.m. A business on North Pacific Street reported a man to be in the restaurant that appeared to be intoxicated. Officers responded and determined through a field sobriety test that the man did not display signs of intoxication.
