On Tuesday Night, we were in Harmony for the 13-3A softball matchup between the Harmony Lady Eagles and the Quitman Lady Bulldogs. Harmony got things going in the bottom of the first inning when Analese Cano knocked in 2 runs with a double, and added another run when Kati Burkham scored on a passed ball. Harmony held onto a 3-0 lead until the 6th inning when they were able to knock in 4 more runs to give them a 7-0 lead over Quitman. Analese Cano was dominant in the circle. She pitched 7 innings, allowing just 2 hits, while giving up no runs or walks and striking out 10. She was also 2-4 at the plate with 2 doubles and 3 rbis. Quitman’s Kennedi Elmore had a good night in the circle as well, but the 1st and 6th innings were the problem innings for Elmore and the Lady Bulldogs. Harmony was able to stay perfect in district play with a 7-0 victory over Quitman.
